Highness for Models with Joan

Joan joined me again online. She looked very happy. She was smiling. I could not help it. I also started smiling. Suddenly, we both started laughing at the same time. “Why are you smiling?” I asked her. “I am just so happy. That is all.”

Feeling

She replied with a big smile on her face. “So, are you very happy today?” I asked her again. She nodded and said, YES! I noticed that we were having a backdrop problem. The color of her background was not even.

So, I asked her to slightly move to her left so that she could block the color of the door behind her. She moved slightly to her left and then asked me. “Like that?” Yes, I said enthusiastically. I noticed that she is still smiling.

I could still see a little bit of the unevenness behind her. I asked her to move to the left again a little bit more. She did and it worked. Yes, I said happily because now we have a plain and clear background. “Now, the door is gone.”

I said to her again with a wonderful feeling of satisfaction. I could see she was also happy and relieved because we had solved one common big technical problem. Now, it is time for us to solve another big technical angle problem.

The lens of her camera was below her eye level. Therefore, it was pointing to her ceiling. Not a very good angle. It is time for us to solve it. “You still have your ceiling showing though,” I said to her. Suddenly, she looked surprised.

Online

Partly, because she did not notice it on her screen. “Point to the direction of your lens for me.” I asked her politely. She did not hear me. “Where is your lens?” So, I repeated myself to her. She still did not understand what I meant.

I guess we were having technical audio issues. Maybe it was a communication breakdown. Maybe it was pure miscommunication. Which happens a lot when working virtually. “Ok, how?” And then she asked me gently. “What do you mean?”

Session

“I mean, the lens of your phone.” I said to her again loudly. “My lens, for example, is slightly above my eye level.” I gave her an example. “Where is your lens?” She stopped and looked at her phone very closely.
